The governing Board of SWGANTH is composed of members representative of the diverse academic pedigrees, experience, and knowledge in the discipline.  At a minimum, members should hold a post-baccalaureate degree in Anthropology with training and experience in Forensic Anthropology.  The Board consists of no more than 25 members that reflect the major practitioners of forensic anthropology (e.g., government laboratories, academic institutions, professional organizations and private consultants).  Permanent membership is granted to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (2 representatives), the Department of Defense Central Identification Laboratory (4 representatives), and the American Board of Forensic Anthropology (the current-year President).  Complete membership details may be found in the SWGANTH Bylaws Article II.
